Joseph A. Walicki was elected to the Marquette Univeristy Board of Trustees in 2017. Walicki currently serves as vice president and president of Johnson Controls Power Solutions, where he is responsible for leading the Power Solutions business worldwide. Walicki represents the company in the advancement of energy storage technologies, the support of vehicle energy-efficiency standards, and is an advocate for sound energy and environmental policies. He is a corporate officer and a member of the Johnson Controls executive operating team.
Walicki was appointed chief operating officer for Power Solutions in 2014. Before that he served as group vice president and general manager, Systems, Services, and Solutions, North America, as part of Johnson Controls Building Efficiency business.
Since joining Johnson Controls in 1988, Walicki has served in numerous leadership positions in sales and operations, and has played a leading role in many strategic growth initiatives within the company.
Walicki holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from LaSalle University.
