Advance the Libraries' role within and impact on campus and the community.

Raynor Memorial Libraries is uniquely positioned to provide services without boundaries across the university community. By creating virtual and open spaces for scholarship and learning, we elevate our position and impact on campus and in the community. We strengthen our role as leaders and in partnership with the University's colleges, academic departments, and other campus units through library initiatives designed to advance teaching, research, and inquiry. In addition, the Library is positioned to be integral and essential to the global community of scholars and learners, who seek out our services, collections, and expertise.


Strategic Priorities

  • Partner with faculty to transform the intellectual life of students by connecting them to knowledge and each other
  • Promote scholarly collaboration across disciplines through programs, exhibits, lectures, and other initiatives
  • Increase opportunities for community engagement

  • Develop a marketing plan
  • Pursue communication and relationships with faculty in flexible/multiple formats
  • Increase understanding of how students and faculty engage with the library now and in the future
  • Explore volunteer opportunities for staff with community service organizations appropriate to mission
  • Increase collaboration with Marquette University Press
