History: Founded in Ireland, 1775, the Sisters of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary made their first U.S. foundation in Iowa, 1874. A sister from the congregation has served as pastoral coordinator at Our Lady of the Sioux Church (Oglala), Oglala, Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota, 1997-present.
