History: Immaculate Conception Church, Laurel, Jones County, Mississippi, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of Biloxi (Archives: Biloxi, Mississippi). Sisters, Marianites of Holy Cross (North American Province) (Archives: New Orleans, Louisiana) administered the catechetical ministry at Immaculate Conception Church and evangelized on the Sandersville Reservation (Choctaw), 1982-1990s.
