History: Guardian Angels Parish, Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wisconsin, has been a predominantly non-Native American parish in the Diocese of La Crosse (Archives: La Crosse, Wisconsin). Guardian Angels was formed by the merger of two nearby parishes. One of these parishes, St. Joseph Church, has had some Winnebago [Ho Chunk] Indian parishioners, 1920s-present.
