Since the late 1950s, Marquette Libraries' Department of Special Collections has been home to the original manuscripts of J.R. R. Tolkien's beloved classics, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The department will conduct a public showing of selected original manuscripts from the collection on the following Friday afternoons through the end of 2014. These showings are open to all members of the campus community and to the general public. No reservations are necessary.
All presentations will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Prucha Archives Reading Room (3rd floor, Raynor Library) and will run approximately 45 minutes. Please address any questions to William Fliss, Archivist by e-mail or phone (288-5906). |
