1/24: Community Discussion: Civil Rights in Milwaukee Since the Time of Dr. King

Hear from multiple generations of Milwaukee civil rights activists about how Dr. King's life and work have impacted our city from the 1960s to today. Panelists include:

The foremost historian of Martin Luther King, Jr., Dr. Clayborne Carson will join us for a lecture on Dr. King's life and its impact on today's communities. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to hear from a scholar and activist closely associated with Dr. King's life and legacy—plan to attend. SOLD OUT

About Dr. Carson

The study of Martin Luther King, Jr., and the movements King inspired have been a lifelong focus for Dr. Clayborne Carson. During his undergraduate years at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Carson was a participant in and observer of African-American political movements. Since receiving his doctorate from UCLA in 1975, he has taught at Stanford University, where he currently serves as Martin Luther King, Jr., Centennial Professor of History and Ronnie Lott Founding Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute.
