Smart Podium | Rooms A, B, & J | Room D | Internet | Miscellaneous Supplies

The following information is designed to inform event planners of the equipment that is readily available for use in the Conference Center rooms. Equipment support is provided by the Library Information Technology department. Contact Darwin Sanders (288-3063) or email: Darwin.Sanders@marquette.edu for all technology arrangements. Please allow as much lead time as possible when making reservations and arrangements.

Smart Podium

Room C or combined room B/C of the Beaumier Suite have a smart podium which is equipped with:

  • Networked PC
  • Wireless networking possible
  • VHS and DVD players
  • Document Camera (also functions as an overhead projector)
  • Cable Television
  • Video Conference or Teleconference (pre-arrange with Instructional Media at 288-8808)
  • Microphone
  • Wireless Handheld and Lavalier Microphones
  • Personal Laptop hookup
  • Events in this room can be videotaped
  • Adjustable lighting
  • Wall mounted whiteboard

Rooms A & B of the Beaumier Suite and Room J

These rooms have the following capabilities:

  • Each is equipped with an overhead data projector
  • Can be connected to laptop computers
  • Can be connected to DVD and VHS players
  • Can be connected to document camera
  • Telephone
  • Adjustable lighting
  • Wall mounted whiteboard

Room D

This room is capable of the above technologies. However:

  • Lighting is not adjustable

Internet

Internet access is available in all Conference Center rooms via ethernet cables. Wireless access is readily available for computers registered with Marquette's IT Services. Laptops provided for use from the Conference Center use wireless internet access. For laptops from outside of the university, wireless access is possible with a minimum 1 week advance notice. When bringing personal laptops for connection, network security precautions require that laptops have current virus protection software and the latest operating system updates.
