Thomas E. Broome, Eng ’91, graduated
with a master’s
degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of
Management. He works for medical device manufacturer Boston
Scientific Corp. and resides in a suburb of Minneapolis.
Karen
A. Helding, Arts ’91, teaches secondary science
in Miami and is working on her doctorate. Her working thesis
was accepted at the American Education Research Association’s
2005 annual conference in Montreal.
Nora M. Platt, Law ’92, joined the law department
of Northwestern Mutual as an assistant general counsel on
the products and distribution team. Previously, she was partner
in the litigation and product liability groups at Quarles & Brady
LLP in Milwaukee.
Kerry (Zimmerman) Grosse, Arts ’92,
was promoted to associate registrar at Marquette University.
Christopher C. Zwygart, Arts ’92, Law ’95, was
honored by The Business Journal of Milwaukee as one of the “40
Under 40” who are making a difference in their organizations,
industries or communities. He is assistant vice president-finance
at West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. in West Bend, Wis.
Chad M. Luttrell, Eng ’93, was nominated and elected
principal at the annual principal’s meeting of Graef,
Anhalt, Schloemer & Associates Inc. He began as a cooperative
engineering student at GAS in 1990 and has advanced to office
manager, project manager and marketing leader for the new
office in Naples.
Timothy J. Kurth, Bus Ad ’94, left U.S. House Speaker
J. Dennis Hastert’s (R-Ill.) office after nine years
as a senior policy adviser on telecom, technology and financial
issues to join a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm,
Lundquist, Nethercutt & Griles LLC, as vice president.
Terese
(Will) Roth, Arts ’94, is an emergency room doctor
in Orlando.
Judith McGeorge-Smith, Grad ’94, serves
as executive director of the Modjeska Theatre Company Inc.
Colleen J. Finn, Comm ’95, is an account supervisor
at BFG Communications, an event and promotional advertising
firm in Hilton Head, S.C.
Patrick J. Hanna, Comm ’95,
joined Goodby, Silverstein & Partners
in San Francisco. The advertising agency is known for
its commercials for the E*Trade Group featuring chimpanzees.
He moved to San Francisco from Chicago, where he was a copywriter
with Cramer-Krasselt.
Jeffrey J. Maciejewski, Grad ’95,
Grad ’00, was
promoted to associate professor with tenure in the department
of journalism and mass communication at Creighton University
in Omaha. He has taught at Creighton since 1999.

Tina V. Bryson, Comm ’96, published
her first book, Perfect in Weakness. The book chronicles
her spiritual journey after the premature birth and death of
her twin sons.
Colleen Carroll Campbell, Arts ’96, appeared
on the PBS special Religion & Ethics Newsweekly, which
focused on the legacy of Pope John Paul II and the challenges
facing his successor. She was formerly a speechwriter to President
George W. Bush and a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy
Center.
John R. Lagowski, Law ’96, works at DeWitt Ross & Stevens
as a patent and trademark attorney.
Colleen Fennelly-Shorey, Comm ’97, was promoted
to account director at Leo Burnett Worldwide in Chicago.
She oversees promotions for Marlboro USA retail and Philip
Morris new products.
Deborah Andis, Grad ’98, a nurse practitioner, recently
presented her findings on long-term success after bariatric
surgery at Nutrition Week 2005 in Florida.
Pam W. Costa,
Eng ’98, spent two weeks volunteering at
a “failure to thrive” clinic in Romania. She
cared for vulnerable babies with health or abandonment
issues.
Carlos T. Fernandez, Comm ’98, relocated
to the New York City office of Young & Rubicam after
a three-year posting in Chile. He works as an account supervisor
for the Colgate-Palmolive account.
Paul J. Pousha, Comm ’98,
was named senior account executive at Laughlin/Constable
Inc., a Milwaukee advertising and public relations agency.
Lt. Karl S. Sander, USN, Arts ’98, completed a tour
of duty with Electronic Attack Squandron 137 at Naval Air
Station Whidbey Island, Wash. He was temporarily assigned
to the staff of the Electronic Attack Weapons School at
Whidbey Island until June, when he joined the Air Wing
Training Department at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare
Center at Naval Air Station in Fallon, Nev.
Elisa M. Ruer, Law ’99, general counsel for Evergreen
Title Corp., was admitted to the Florida State Bar in May.
She will continue to reside in Wisconsin and practice Wisconsin
law as well as Florida law.
Jennifer Boughanem, Arts ’99, Grad ’01, graduated
from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in May and began
work in September as an associate at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw
in Chicago.
Raquelle M. Brennan, Arts ’99, graduated
in December 2004 from the University of Pittsburgh with a
master’s
degree in library and information science and a K-12 teaching
certificate. She received the 2004 Beta Phi Mu, Pi Chapter,
Scholarly Excellence award. She is a school librarian in
the Chicago area.
Kevin C. Carlson, Arts ’99, earned
a law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law
last year and was admitted to the Illinois State and Federal
Bar. He works at Hoff, Collins & Cook,
a civil litigation firm concentrating on aviation law.
Ian
M. Bolin, Bus Ad ’99, completed his master of business
administration in May 2004 at Thunderbird, The Garvin School
of International Management. He works as the director of
strategy for Audi of America, based in Auburn Hills, Mich.
Tracy (Peplinski) Johnson, Comm ’99, has been appointed
director of public affairs for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Lauren (Herriges) Kinter, Arts ’99, founded a genealogical
research business. She has published an article in the Friends
of Lytham Hall Newsletter about the American branch of the
Clifton family, a Catholic noble family from Lytham, Lancashire,
England.
Lorna A. Rose, Bus Ad ’99, spent the
summer working for AmeriCorps in Alaska. She lives in the
Los Angeles area.
