SCHOLARSHIP PAVES THE WAY

Wisconsin’s best should apply

All roads can lead to Marquette and now a new scholarship endowed by retired Milwaukee news anchor John McCullough and his wife, Sandy, will help talented students from Wisconsin’s big and small communities come to campus. The undergraduate scholarship will be awarded in rotating years to a qualified student from a small town, a rural community and an urban environment.

McCullough is a familiar face to Wisconsinites, having anchored WTMJ’s 10 p.m. newscast for 22 years and continuing as a commentator for five years following his retirement in 1989.

“We believe there are many hard-working, high-achieving students throughout the state who will appreciate an opportunity to attend an excellent university such as Marquette,” McCullough says.
