125th Anniversary celebration

125 years of faith and learning in action.

Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy DolanSaying he would love to have A.M.D.G. (ad majorem Dei gloriam or to the greater glory of God) scrolled in the sky, Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan joins campus to celebrate Marquette’s 125th anniversary. “Daily do I witness the evidence of Marquette University’s effectiveness: I meet her proud alumni in the classrooms of our Catholic schools, as nurses in the emergency rooms of our hospitals, in the boardrooms of corporations eager to improve life in our community, in the front lines on promoting the culture of life and battling injustice and poverty, raising families and practicing law, engaged in scholarship and in the missions of Africa . . . all for the greater glory of God.”
