Father Pilarz, Williams see new BIG EAST as big boost to Marquette

Marquette Magazine catches up with Father Pilarz and Larry Williams, Marquette's vice president and director of athletics, as they attended a news conference in New York on March 21 to announce details of the reconfigured BIG EAST conference. It's the culmination of a process that began even before seven core members — Marquette, Villanova, Georgetown, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall and DePaul — decided to part ways with the former conference's football schools.
Marquette University's annual Sexual Violence Awareness Week took place on campus this past week. Teal ribbons adorned many backpacks, banners and residence hall windows as signs of support for those affected by sexual violence.
