Marquette dental student Brittany Burger demonstrates proper brushing techniques for children from three Oshkosh elementary schools at a recent “Meet Your Dentist Day” event hosted by the School of Dentistry and the Tri-County Community Dental Clinic in Appleton, Wis. While children waited for their appointments, Marquette students entertained them with small group learning activities. Marquette dental students recently started treating children from area school districts one extra day per week, providing a much-needed service to the community and an opportunity to learn about acute dental problems first hand.
