Feeling giddy

Golden Eagles fans had plenty to cheer about when the Marquette men's basketball team defeated Syracuse 66-62 on Sunday to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament. The men's team will next play the University of North Carolina Friday, March 25, at the Prudential Center in Newark.

The women's team, which has had its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007, came from behind to beat Texas 68-65 Saturday. The women face Tennessee in the second round tonight, March 21.

Such a joy to watch these two accomplished teams with such poise and character compete and be rewarded and blessed with wins. Congratulations to the all the team members, coaches, and trainers. So proud of you and our school!
