The buzz at the Brew
Every college campus needs a place where you can get a caffeine fix to fuel those late-night study sessions -- or, for professors, marathon grading sessions. At Marquette, that's the Brew Cafes. The original Brew Bayou opened in the Alumni Memorial Union in 1993, and now students can also sip their morning joe at three other locations on campus: Brew Cudahy, Brew Straz and Brew @ the Bridge. Here's what it takes to keep these hotspots jumping.
3,793 cups of coffee chugged the week before fall semester finals
700 Brew Cafes mugs sold to waste-conscious customers during the fall semester
Nearly 5,000 meal exchanges every week (for those on the campus meal plans)
1,416 Brew bagels noshed weekly
85 student employees, three fulltime employees and one manager
No. 1 pick among campus tea drinkers: Green Tea Mint
