The arrival of 277 little siblings paired with Hunger Clean-up made for one rocking weekend on campus. The Resident Hall Association’s Lil’ Sibs program treated Marquette brothers and sisters to various activities, including a trip to the zoo, bowling, tie dyeing, laser tag, carnival games, a hypnotist show and more.

Then, on Saturday morning, the Marquette community came together for the university’s largest day of service: 1,735 volunteers were matched with 69 agency worksites around Milwaukee to complete approximately 5,200 hours of service as part of Hunger Clean-up. The 35-person Hunger Clean-up leadership team raised nearly $25,000 in monetary support and $20,000 in in-kind contributions for the coordination of the day's service efforts and grants awarded to Walnut Way, Fondy Food Center and Pathfinders.

Members of Alpha Chi Omega (pictured above) raked and planted at Victory Garden and “Team Wolfpack,” (pictured right) washed tables and chairs at St. Ben’s. All groups were encouraged to tweet pictures from their sites.
