Commencing

Graduation marks the end of one era and the beginning of another. Perhaps that’s

why every December and May the university celebrates in grand style the achieve-

ments of each graduating class, whose members, we sense, will go on from here

to do great things. U.S. Secretary of Labor and Commencement speaker Elaine Chao

led the May celebration. This year’s class will spread out throughout the world. It

includes 1,840 graduates from 38 states and 10 countries.
