1980-1989

1980

Mark R. Hogan, Grad ’80, was named executive vice president of Marshall & Ilsley Bank. He serves on the boards of directors of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Service Society of Wisconsin and Marquette University High School.

John P. Macy, Law ’80, received a 2004 President’s Award from the State Bar of Wisconsin in May 2005. He was recognized for chairing the WisTAF Study Committee.

1982

Dr. John R. Meurer, Arts ’82, was named Pediatrician of the Year by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an associate professor of pediatrics and chief of general pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Steven R. Muckerheide, Sp ’82, was featured in an article on www.gmtoday.com for his career in the movie-making industry. Last year he formed a Milwaukee-based special effects company, Backlot Imaging. He has worked in television and film for more than 20 years and has also teamed up with Tri-Marq Communications in Milwaukee to work on commercial projects.

Rick J. Postera, Arts ’82, was selected for Aviation Major Command and is slated to be the next base/installation commander of Naval Station Great Lakes. This position includes serving as chief of staff to the admiral at the installation. Great Lakes is the largest training center in the Navy with more than 23,500 personnel.

Rev. John Puodziunas, O.F.M., Arts ’82, was elected to a six-year term as vicar provincial of the Franciscan Friars Assumption BVM Province and relocated to Franklin, Wis. He served as chaplain at University of San Diego High School for three years.

1983

Jim R. Schufreider, Arts ’83, joined the National Marine Sanctuary Program, working on partnership development.

1984

Lt. Col. Edward P. Manning, Arts ’84, was deployed with U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Airborne, from Vicenza, Italy, to Bagrum Air Base, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He works on the combined/joint task force 76 staff as the chief of force management.

Jeanne S. Steffes, Arts ’84, was named associate vice president for student affairs at Syracuse University.

1985

Bartholomew Salazar, Bus Ad ’85, was named president and CEO of MemberTrade Advisory Services.

1986 Reunion Year

Heidi (Kurrus) Johnson, Arts ’86, received a master of science in nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. A licensed family nurse practitioner and recipient of the National Health Services Corps scholarship, she practices in central Texas, where she and her husband reside.

Patricia K. O’Brien, Sp ’86, wrote San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point as part of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series. She is vice president of business development for CWC Financial, a mortgage broker/bank in Sausalito, Calif.

Dr. Gregory M. Randolph, Dent ’86, was featured in an article in The Pantagraph for the unique display of antique dental instruments and equipment in the entry of his new Bloomington, Ill., office. Items include a pedal foot drill from 1872 and an x-ray machine from the 1940s.

Kristine (Krautkramer) Seymour, Sp ’86, was named vice president of sales for Wisconsin by Humana Inc. She is responsible for sales and account management activities.

1987

Michael T. Cousineau, Jour ’87, published his second book, Swinging for the Majors: Inside the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Championship Season. His first book, Season Ticket: Six Months Inside Manchester’s New Arena, was published in 2002.

Matthew E. Pliszka, Arts ’87, developed an environmentally friendly line of cleaning products called NEU Gentle Home Cleaning products. In 1993, he co-founded the Mequon, Wis.-based company, Environmentally Sensitive Solutions, that specializes in making process cleaners for industrial metal manufacturers.

1988

Francis T. Steck, Sp ’88, was selected as one of The Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for 2005 in the Twin Cities, a list of top 40 professionals under the age of 40. Those selected are honored for making a difference in their professions, the local business community and the community at large. He is serving a second term as president of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization.

1989

John M. Tlachac, Comm ’89, was appointed manager of import/export compliance at General Electric Health Care, Ultrasound Division, in Milwaukee. He recently returned
