Speech Path moves
A new start just across the street.
Looking out of his office window in Monitor Hall, Dr. Ed Korabic saw the future for Marquette’s Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology — right across the street. Last fall they moved in.
The department now occupies spacious quarters in the old dental school that have been renovated to offer 16 clinical therapy rooms, several group therapy rooms, research labs, offices, classrooms and a child-friendly waiting area for the speech and hearing clinic.
“This move took us from a barely usable facility to one that is state of the art,” says Korabic, associate professor of speech pathology and audiology. “We are exhilarated. We have been waiting a long time for this.”
The relocation was made possible with funding from the Magis Campaign and ongoing fund raising by the department.
