Dr. Alfred L. Miller, Sp ’54, was chosen as a 2006 Congressional Medal of Distinction winner for his unyielding support of the Republican Party, outstanding leadership in business and contributions to the local economy. He is an audiologist in private practice.
John F. O’Donnell, Jour ’56, wrote the play Lavender Blue. A staged reading of the play was presented at the Chicago Dramatists Theatre in Chicago.

Anthony J. Mayer, Bus Ad ’58, was selected for the 2007 edition of Who’s Who in America. He was also chosen to represent the city of West Allis, Wis., in the upcoming edition of The Metropolitan Who’s Who.
Donald E. Van Scotter, Dent ’58, Grad ’62, published his second book, Small Town Boy, an autobiography of growing up in Elkhorn, Wis., during the 1930s and 1940s. Retired for 19 years, he lives with his wife, Jean, in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
Alice (Freiberg) Stecker, Nurs ’59, Grad ’64, retired from a career in hospital administration. She lives in a custom-built Finnish log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
