2000

Michael R. Neufeldt, Comm ’00, received the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s 2008 Robert Ross National Personal Achievement Award. The award recognizes the achievements and community service of people who are affected by neuromuscular diseases. He is an author, Web designer and TV personality, and he was awarded for determination and leadership as a role model for people with disabilities.

2001

Timothy M. Alberts, Bus Ad ’01, was named director of alumni relations at his high school alma mater, Boston College High School.

Christopher J. Kukowski, Eng ’01, Law ’07, joined Boyle Fredrickson SC in Milwaukee. He clerked for the firm and served as associate editor of the Marquette Law Review prior to graduation.
Monica M. West, Comm ’01, plays the role of Frances “Baby” Houseman in the North American premiere of Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage in Toronto. Dirty Dancing is West’s first professional musical.

2003

Reunion Year

Scott C. Bower, Eng ’03, climbed Mt. Harvard, the fourth-highest mountain in the United States. It is located in Buena Vista, Colo., and rises 14,420 feet above sea level.

Jeremy L. Cadiz, Arts ’03, entered diplomatic school in Madrid, Spain, to pursue a master’s degree in diplomacy and international relations. He was the only U.S. applicant admitted to the class of 150 participants.

Renee N. Cornille, Comm ’03, entered the Reveal Your Mysterious Side contest sponsored by Caress and won the grand prize. Entrants submitted 100-word essays describing their fantasy vacations. The grand prize is a $10,000 trip for two to the destination of her choice.

Adam S. Kirby, Comm ’03, was named associate editor of Hotels magazine in Oak Brook, Ill.

Adrienne J. Olson, Law ’03, is one of seven lawyers at Quarles & Brady LLP in Milwaukee who have formed the firm’s domestic abuse injunction advocacy team, a pro bono team committed to representing victims of domestic abuse at injunction hearings. The team was recognized in June 2007 by Legal Action of Wisconsin for its efforts to provide legal services to low-income clients.

Nicholas M. Padley, Arts ’03, has entered St. Benedict’s Abbey in Atchison, Kan., as a postulant.

Natalie (Rick) Remington, Law ’03, is one of seven lawyers at Quarles & Brady LLP in Milwaukee who have formed the firm’s domestic abuse injunction advocacy team, a pro bono team committed to representing victims of domestic abuse at injunction hearings. The team was recognized in June 2007 by Legal Action of Wisconsin for its efforts to provide legal services to low-income clients.

Elizabeth M. Swedo, Arts ’03, received a scholarship from the Leifur Eiríksson Foundation. The foundation, governed by a board of trustees appointed by the Central Bank of Iceland, the Icelandic Government and the University of Virginia, was founded to fund scholarly exchanges between Iceland and the United States.

2004

Jane E. Appleby, Law ’04, was appointed to a three-year term on the Wisconsin State Bar Committee on Professional Ethics. She serves on the boards of the Association of Women Lawyers and the Marquette University Law School Alumni Association, and is an attorney with Quarles & Brady in Milwaukee.

Collin M. Geraghty, Comm ’04, starred in Shakespeare’s Pericles at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest performing arts festival in the world. One critic said of his performance, “Collin Geraghty makes for an utterly charming hero with expert precision in his craft.”

Tiffani G. Mitchell, Comm ’04, completed the MSIMC/M.B.A. dual degree from Loyola University Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. She earned a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications in 2006 and completed a master’s in business administration earlier this year. She works in media strategy for Starcom Worldwide in Chicago.

2006

Brianne L. Mueller, Comm ’05, joined McKendree University as a graduate admissions counselor. She focuses primarily on the university’s master’s degree programs in education and professional consulting.
Maureen A. Pauley, Comm ’05, was promoted to account executive at Scheibel Halaska, a full-service, business-to-business marketing communications firm in Milwaukee.

2007

Jason E. Kuwayama, Law ’07, joined the financial institutions practice group of Godfrey & Kahn SC in Milwaukee. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases and sales, charter applications, general securities, and regulatory and compliance matters.

Aaron J. Bowersock, Arts ’07, and his wife live in China, where they both teach English.
