Charles J. Kersten (deceased), Law ’25, was a state representative for Wisconsin’s 5th District from 1947-48 and 1951-54. His papers were recently added to Marquette University’s archives and can be found online.

Brother Leo V. Ryan, C.S.V., Bus Ad ’49, was awarded a Medal of Merit by the government of Poland for civic and educational contributions to the country. His 80th birthday was celebrated as Professor Brother Leo V. Ryan Day at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland.
