Mailing to Marquette Friends and Associates

The printed word is our most popular means of communicating with friends and associates of Marquette University. Every day, Marquette sends thousands of letters, publications, applications, e-mails, etc. to alumni, current and prospective students, and friends. It is because of this volume that we are sending this memo to you.

As you may know, there are three primary databases that hold all of our names, addresses and other demographic information.

Millennium (alumni, parents and friends)
HR/Payroll
(faculty and staff)
CheckMarq/PeopleSoft
( students)

These three databases are the only approved/authorized databases maintained and made available to the Marquette community to produce mailing lists (e-mail included).

Because of the centralized focus of the information, it is very important that we work together to maintain these databases to the best of our ability. This includes communicating any known changes to those responsible for maintaining the database(s) (i.e., name and address changes, death notifications, etc.).

It is very important that the changes/updates are posted to the appropriate database. Doing so provides our friends and colleagues with better service and helps the university avoid embarrassing situations.
