Stephanie Russell

Stephanie Russell, Arts '83
Vice President, Mission & Ministry

Reporting to the president, she is responsible for promoting the university's mission and Catholic, Jesuit identity, expressed in the search for truth, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, the promotion of a life of faith and the development of leadership expressed in service to others. Her responsibilities at the university, which she joined in 2001, include oversight of Campus Ministry and the Manresa Project.

She has worked for many Jesuit institutions, including serving two years on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and 11 years as the provincial assistant for lay formation and social ministry with the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus.

Her professional career has focused on pastoral ministry, administration and education. Russell earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Marquette University and an M.A.P.S. from St. Francis Seminary in Wisconsin.
