Step 2

Step 3

Complete and submit

Go to Undergraduate Forms and print out this year's Parent PLUS Request Form. After you submit the form, the Office of Student Financial Aid will add the Parent PLUS on to the financial aid award.

Next, the borrower goes through the credit check process.  The ability to view the Loan in CheckMarq does not signify the Loan has been approved.

Step #4

Final Steps

Upon approval, first-time borrowers will be directed to complete the electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN).

If your parent’s credit check is declined, information on what options are available can be found on www.studentloans.gov, in the Credit Check section of the FAQs. Beginning March 29, 2015, new loans that are approved after documenting extenuating circumstances or obtaining an endorser will require the borrower to complete PLUS Loan Credit Counseling through www.studentloans.gov.
