End-of-life care in this country is less than optimal. The College of Nursing at Marquette University is committed to changing the status of end-of-life care. We believe that a peaceful death with dignity is a right for all persons and want to take action to make that happen. The university's affirmation of the goodness of life involves maximizing quality of life, including during the final stages of life. The Institute for End-of-Life Care was launched in spring 2003.
"We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey."
