Marquette's Office of Internatioanl Education provides a variety of support services for faculty members looking to research or teach abroad. FACULTY DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

CIEE Faculty Development Grants

Each semester, the CIEE makes available funds up to $500 to promote the internationalization of existing academic programs, and the development of new programs. For more information, contact the CIE.

International Faculty Development Seminars

Council's International Faculty Development Seminars provide short-term, intensive overseas experiences for faculty and administrators, hosted by prestigious academic institutions abroad.

Center for Int. Business Education - Faculty Development Opportunities

The Centers for International Business Education and Research (CIBERs) were created under the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 to increase and promote the nation's capacity for international understanding and economic enterprise.

American Council for International Education

The American Council has numerous opportunities and program for faculty development.


PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

NAFSA: Association of International Educators

NAFSA is the primary professional organization for international educators. It has a wide variety of resources and tools for faculty.

Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE)

CIEE hosts faculty development seminars along with a number of study abroad programs.

Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education

An organization that supports research and reflection on teaching and learning through publications, conferences, consulting, and networking.
