Dr. Abdur Chowdhury is a professor of economics in the College of Business Administration. Primarily a macroeconomist, Chowdhury studies monetary policy and theory, open economy macroeconomics, and Asia and Pacific Basin economics. He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand; a visiting professor at John Hopkins University's School for Advanced International Studies in Nanjing, China; and a visiting research fellow at the World Institute for Development Economics Research at United Nations University in Helsinki.
