Marquette University Public Notice - Reporting Concerns Regarding Animal Care and Use

Anyone from the public, facility personnel, or those using animals may report concerns regarding animal care or use. Under Marquette University’s Animal Welfare Assurance with the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW), The Marquette University Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) assures that it will comply with the PHS Policy on the Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (PHS Policy), and with all applicable provisions of the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) and other applicable laws and regulations pertaining to animal care and use.

If you suspect any deficiencies in animal care or treatment or may have any questions or concerns about specific use of animals at or in association with Marquette University, you are encouraged to contact any of the following:

The mission of the Office of Research Compliance, in cooperation with and in support of the Institutional Review Board, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, Radiation Safety Committee, and Institutional Biosafety Committee, is to facilitate safe and ethical research conducted by Marquette faculty, staff and students in the areas of human subjects, animal subjects, radiation safety and biosafety.
