The Marquette University Office of Residence Life is pleased to announce our returning student sign-up process for the 2011-12 academic year. This information is intended to introduce the automated selection process to you, as you will be utilizing this process to choose a room, roommate(s), and meal plan for the 2011-12 academic year.

There are several important features you will need to understand in order to successfully select your room assignment for next year. These features are explained in greater detail throughout this handout and are highlighted here for your convenience:

Residence hall selection is not meant to be stressful, and following a few simple guidelines should make the process a lot easier:

  1. Pay your $200 housing deposit. All students must pay a deposit to participate in the room selection process.  Payment must be submitted to our office (Carpenter Tower 203) during the weeks of deposit collection (March 7 – 25) ensures computer activation of your assignment time.

  2. Make sure you have downloaded the housing selection booklet. Read through the details of the process carefully.

  3. Log into the Campus Living Web site. [Please note: you must use Internet Explorer or FireFox to access this site.] Verify your assignment time anytime after March 20* to ensure that your housing deposit has been activated. Encourage your roommates to do the same.

[*please note: this date was changed in order to accommodate an IT Services maintenance window scheduled between March 18 and 19]

  4. A Gender Breakdown by floor is available here on our website.

  5. Be patient. You may experience slower system response during peak sign-up periods.

  6. The Office of Residence Life will remain open until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28 to answer any additional questions you may have during the housing sign-up process.
