MUSIC PROGRAMS

Marquette University offers a variety of ways for musically talented students to continue to practice and perform while in college. The vocal and instrumental performance groups are listed in the Timetable of Classes as zero-credit courses. This means that your participation in the groups will be listed on your academic transcript if you register for them and may allow you to waive your Fine Arts requirement depending on the college of your enrollment.

The University Symphonic Band, Orchestra and Choir is also available for enrollment for 1 credit per semester as a part of the new music minor program. Further information about the music minor can be found here.

Performing Arts Living Learning Community (The PAC)

The McCormick Hall Performing Arts Living Learning Community (The PAC) is a living learning program open to first-year students with an interest in the performing arts, providing students with the opportunity to interact with others who share similar interests in a welcoming environment. Experience in or exposure to the performing arts (music, theater, dance, etc.) is not required.
