Meal Service

Meals will be served during Orientation for all new students. Students living in residence halls will use their ID card for meals. All meals will be served in the residence halls except for lunch on Wednesday, August 20. This meal will be served on Westowne Mall from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Please Note: Meal cards to be used during orientation will be provided for commuter students at check in.

Orientation Staff

During the five days of New Student Orientation, Orientation Leaders will be available to help you in any way possible. These current Marquette students will act as guides, answer questions, and lead group discussion meetings. Remember, orientation staff members have gone through the same transition you are now going through. They can relate to how you feel and want to help your transition go as smoothly as possible. Please feel free to ask them for assistance at any time.

Throughout Orientation there will be a variety of seminars and workshops designed to provide you with valuable information and hands-on experience concerning Marquette and college life. Sessions include the following:

Take a Carillon Class

Starting the Spring 2009 semester, MUSI 85: Carillon Discovery will be offered. In this introduction to the world of carillon, the student explores the history, musical characteristics, bell foundries and carillons worldwide through readings, recordings, the Internet and visits to the university carillon. This discovery is designed for a greater appreciation of the carillon for both musicians and non-musicians.
