Welcome to Marquette University! We are pleased that you have chosen to become a part of the Marquette University community. Your experience at Marquette will undoubtedly bring new challenges, ideas and people into your life. At Marquette you will build a strong academic foundation.

You and your family members are invited to the Winter Orientation Program the second weekend of January 2009. The program is designed to assist you as you become acquainted with Marquette.

The program includes:

• Group discussion meetings and informative sessions
• A Social event
• Opportunities to meet other new students, returning Marquette students, and staff members.

The registration deadline for Winter Orientation 2009 is January 5, 2009. Registration forms will be available soon.

Take a Carillon Class

Starting the Spring 2009 semester, MUSI 85: Carillon Discovery will be offered. In this introduction to the world of carillon, the student explores the history, musical characteristics, bell foundries and carillons worldwide through readings, recordings, the Internet and visits to the university carillon. This discovery is designed for a greater appreciation of the carillon for both musicians and non-musicians.
