A lack of diversity in the health care professions in Milwaukee’s inner city and other urban centers has created a critical need for trained professionals from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds. Marquette is committed to meeting the needs of urban and underserved communities, and we hope you’ll decide that Marquette is the right place for you to pursue a health career.
The Health Careers Opportunity Program at Marquette University is a federally funded program that provides opportunities for disadvantaged students who are interested in health professions. Our programs range from recruitment efforts at local middle schools to retention of students enrolled in professional programs at Marquette.
The YES program is a collaboration between Marquette University and the United Community Center to promote good health, positive social interaction and community building in Latino youth.
