Dr. Boissonnault is currently a Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Bachelor’s in Science in Physical Therapy from University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master’s in Science, specializing in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, at the Institute of Physical Therapy in St. Augustine, FL. He received his Doctor of Health Science at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
In 2005 he was awarded Dorothy E. Baethke-Eleanor J. Carlin Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching from the American Physical Therapy Association and in 2004: the Stanley Paris Distinguished Service Award from the Orthopaedic Section, APTA. Dr. Boissonnault is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists and the APTA, and a past President of the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. He is currently the President of the Foundation for Physical Therapy, Inc.
Dr. Boissonnault also holds adjunct faculty positions at Arcadia University, Columbia University, Medical University of South Carolina, Samuel Merritt University, University of California – San Francisco, Indianapolis, and Tennessee-Memphis. Dr. Boissonnault is currently a Senior Physical Therapist at the Spine Center PT Clinic - UW Hospital and Clinics, and the University Health Services for students. He has worked at OP Spine/TMJ PT centers since 1982 and has a strong interest in differential diagnosis and manual therapy.
