Research Instrument Maker
Joe, the research instrument maker for the College of Arts and Sciences since 2004, has been a journeyman Tool and Die Maker for over thirty years. After an apprenticeship at Modine Manufacturing Company in Racine, he has worked as shop supervisor at Allis Tool in West Allis, as tooling engineer at Accutec in Oak Creek, and as a working supervisor at both Circon-Surgitek in Racine and the College of Engineering and Applied Science at UW-Milwaukee. He was owner of Marc Design, designing stamping dies, fixturing and other tooling for a variety of customers. He has experience in tool room, production and research and development environments. Joe holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from UW-Parskside.
