Julia Azari

Assistant Professor, Ph.D., Yale University, 2007
Her research and teaching interests include the American presidency, political parties, qualitative methods, and American political history. Her dissertation, entitled Delivering the People's Message: Presidential Mandate Claims from 1929 to 2005, was featured in a 2007 symposium on multi-method research published by the Qualitative Methods section of the American Political Science Association. Her dissertation research was supported in part by the Harry Middleton Fellowship in Presidential Studies. In addition to the dissertation, she has several works in progress on topics such as presidential running mate selection, and recent ideological change in the Republican Party.
