International Students

The Department of Political Science welcomes students from all around the world. Our successful graduate alumni include students from China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Korea, Kuwait, Mexico, Nigeria, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, and other countries. Many of these students have gone on to complete Ph.D.s in leading political science departments.

As a privately-funded university, our tuition costs and most financial aid opportunities are not restricted by residence or citizenship.

International applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit TOEFL scores. While the Department has some flexibility, we generally expect scores of 100 or better in the internet-based format.

If you would like more information about our program, please contact our Director of Graduate Studies, Prof. Susan Giaimo, at susan.giaimo@marquette.edu. Information for international students applying for graduate study at Marquette can also be found at the Marquette Graduate School Web page.
