Saturday Bridge Academy

Saturday Bridge Academy exposes high school students to various aspects of health care.

Eligibility

Twenty disadvantaged students are chosen from an application and interview process. Students come to Marquette University twice a month for a series of hands-on workshops. To be eligible for Saturday Academy, applicants must:

  • be from an underrepresented minority group such as, but not limited to, African-American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American or disadvantaged Caucasian
  • be a high school senior in fall semester. High school sophomores and juniors will be considered for the fall and spring programs.
  • have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • have an interest in health careers
  • submit three letters of recommendation from high school teachers or guidance counselors. One of these must be from a science teacher.
