Audrey Carson

Audrey Meyer Carson, Ph.D., earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University in 2013, including completion of a clinical internship in pediatric neuropsychology and clinical child psychology at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital (BCM/TCH). During her doctoral training, Dr. Carson was an active member of Dr. Van Hecke’s lab, serving as coordinator of the PEERS project and the Marquette Autism Clinic. She investigated EEG coherence in children with and without autism spectrum disorder for her dissertation. Her postdoctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology was also obtained at BCM/TCH, with particular emphasis on autism spectrum disorder assessment and neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessments for infants and preschoolers.

Dr. Carson is currently an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Section within the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also a pediatric neuropsychologist providing clinical assessments for patients in the Autism Center and the Psychology Service at Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Carson has particular interest in assessment of young children, preschoolers, and infants with complex medical histories, as well as children with autism spectrum disorder and complex medical diagnoses.
