Dr. Sanders' teaching and research interests reflect a traditional education in Psychology as the science of behavior. His interests lie in the scientific pursuit of the fundamental mechanisms of behavior. Throughout Dr. Sander's career, he has worked with Psychologists, Behavioral Neuroscientists, Neuroscientists, Anatomists, Physiologists, and Molecular Biologists. This experience and training allows him to take advantage of the vast array of tools at the disposal of scientists in these fields. The absolute focus of Dr. Sanders' work, however, is behavior. Neuroscience is a tool by which our laboratory comes to a fuller understanding of behavior.
