What are the admission requirements?

In addition to the completed application form, to qualify for admission to the Clinical Program, you must fulfill these specific requirements (international students may need to meet additional requirements):

  • Official transcripts from all colleges you attended.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE), General Test (Call 609- 771-7670 about the GRE).
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Subject Test
  • Statement of purpose (300 words stating academic and professional goals).

When should I apply?

The application deadline for the Clinical Psychology Program is December 15.

What about financial aid?

You will indicate on the application whether you are seeking financial aid or not. More information about the various types of aid can be found on the Financial Aid page.

When might I hear if I have been admitted?

Generally, the Graduate School will notify you of an admission decision within four or five weeks following the application deadline.

What does it mean for a program to be accredited?
Professional accreditation is awarded to some clinical psychology programs (such as Marquette's) by the American Psychological Association (APA). APA accreditation means that the program has proven to APA that it meets strict criteria regarding the quality of education of its students. Many internship sites and employers require or prefer that the psychologists they hire come from APA-approved programs.
