Contacting Public Safety

• Emergency and non-emergency telephone numbers are provided for reporting suspicious activity and crimes.

• Numbers are posted on all residence hall telephones.
• Outdoor direct-access phones — Blue Light Phones — are available throughout the campus area for Marquette students and employees to report crime or request assistance.
• 24-hour dispatch and emergency call response are provided.

Coordination with Local Law Enforcement Agencies

• Law enforcement administrative and district offices are located near campus.
• A crime prevention officer is stationed at a community-oriented policing substation
  in the Marquette area.
• There are regular Milwaukee Police Department vehicle, bicycle and walking patrols
  of the campus area.
• There are ongoing meetings between the Milwaukee Police Department and Public
  Safety, including the exchange of crime-related reports and statistics.
• Public Safety offers a liaison between the Marquette community and local law
  enforcement agencies.
• Public Safety monitors Milwaukee police and fire department radio frequencies for
  incidents on or near campus.
