The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

ON CAMPUS

#14-0886          Theft; Occurred and reported Fri., 7/25/14 at 5:35 p.m. Three juveniles removed property from a business in the 1600 block of W. Wells and left the scene.  DPS located and verbally detained the subjects.  MPD was contacted.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-0883          Theft From Motor Vehicle:  Forcible; Occurred Fri., 7/25/14 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:11 p.m.  Reported Fri., 7/25/14 at 2:11 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of his secured, unattended vehicle in the 800 block of N. 14th and removed property est. at $250.  MPD contacted.

#14-0887          Robbery; Occurred Fri., 7/25/14 at 9:30 p.m.  Reported Fri., 7/25/14 at 10:25 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that an unidentified subject displayed a weapon and demanded the victim’s property in the 700 block of N. 24th Street.  The subject fled with the property.  The victim was not injured.  MPD contacted.

#14-0888          Prowling Violation; Occurred and reported Fri., 7/25/14 at 10:50 p.m.  DPS observed a person not affiliated with Marquette prowling in the 900 block of N. 20th Street.  The subject fled the scene but was located and detained by DPS.  MPD was contacted and took the subject into custody.

#14-0889          Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred between Fri., 7/25/14 at 11:28 p.m. and Sat., 7/26/14 at 2:21 a.m.  Reported Fri., 7/25/14 at 11:28 p.m.  An underage student and an underage acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette were in possession of alcohol in the 800 block of N. 16th Street and were cited by MPD.

#14-0890          Battery; Occurred Sat., 7/26/14 at 4:00 p.m.  Reported Sat., 7/26/14 at 4:43 p.m.  A student reported being grabbed by the shoulders and spit on by an unidentified subject in the 1100 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  The subject than left the scene.  MPD contacted.  The student was not injured.

#14-0891          Battery; Occurred and reported Sat., 7/26/14 at 8:34 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported being kicked off his bicycle by two juveniles in the 2300 block of W. Wells.  One of the juveniles displayed a BB gun.  The juveniles than fled the scene but were located and taken into custody by MPD.  The victim was not injured.

#14-0892          Vandalism To Motor Vehicle; Occurred Sat., 7/26/14 between 2:00 a.m. and 2:03 a.m.  Reported Sun., 7/27/14 at 11:51 a.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) vandalized her secured, unattended vehicle in the 900 block of N. 15th Street causing an est. $500 in damage.

#14-0879          Hit & Run Accident:  Property Damage Only; Occurred Thu., 7/24/14 between 4:52 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  Reported Thu., 7/24/14 at 12:11 p.m.  A vehicle driven by an employee struck another employee’s parked, unattended vehicle in Structure One and left the scene.   Est. damage to the struck vehicle is $500.   MPD contacted.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-0880          Robbery; Occurred Thu., 7/24/14 at 4:50 p.m.  Reported Thu., 7/24/14 at 4:55 p.m. Two subjects not affiliated with Marquette forcibly removed property from another person not affiliated with Marquette in the 2200 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and fled the scene.  The victim was not injured.  MPD contacted.

#14-0877              Harassment:  Occurred between 12:00 p.m. on Wed., 7/9/14 and 5:15 p.m. on Wed., 7/23/14; reported at 6:42 p.m. on Wed., 7/23/14.  A non-MU subject has been harassing a student employee at Eckstein Hall. 

OFF CAMPUS

#14-0878              Theft:  Occurred at 7:52 p.m. and reported at 9:13 p.m. on Wed., 7/23/14.  A student reported that an unknown subject removed her unsecured and unattended bicycle valued at $250 from the rear of her residence in the 900 block of N. 15th Street.

#14-0871          Theft Of Motor Vehicle:  Attempt; Occurred Tue., 7/22/14 at 3:15 a.m.  Reported Tue., 7/22/14 at 6:17 a.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) forcibly entered her secured, unattended vehicle and attempted to remove the vehicle in a rear lot in the 900 block of N. 17th Street.  Est. damage to the vehicle is $1,000.  MPD contacted.

#14-0874          Prowling Violation & Violation Of Probation; Occurred and reported Tue., 7/22/14 at 10:04 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette was prowling in the 2100 block of W. Clybourn.  The subject fled the scene but was located and physically detained by DPS.  MPD was contacted and cited the subject.

#14-0875          Theft From Motor Vehicle:  Forcible; Occurred Tue., 7/22/14 between 7:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m.  Reported Tue., 7/22/14 at 11:49 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of her secured, unattended vehicle in the 500 block of N. 22nd Street and removed property est. at $20.  Est. damage to the vehicle is $150.  MPD contacted.
