The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

#14-0530          Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Mon., 4/21/14 at 8:50 p.m.  A student was in possession of alcohol in Carpenter Tower and was cited by MPD.

ON CAMPUS

#14-0520          Theft; Occurred Fri., 4/18/14 between 1:40 a.m. and 1:54 a.m.  Reported Fri., 4/18/14 at 1:54 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette left a business without paying his bill in the 1600 block of W. Wells.  The subject was verbally detained by DPS and taken into custody by MPD.

#14-0527          Theft; Occurred Sat., 4/19/14 at 2:09 p.m.  Reported Sat., 4/19/14 at 2:19 p.m.  An employee of a business in the 1600 block of W. Wells reported that an unidentified subject removed property from the business and left the scene.

#14-0528          Drug Offenses; Occurred and reported Sun., 4/20/14 at 10:46 p.m.  A student was in possession of a controlled substance in Abbottsford Hall and was taken into custody by MPD.  The student was cited and released.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-0521          Theft; Occurred and reported Fri., 4/18/14 at 8:48 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette removed property from a business in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and was cited by MPD.

#14-0522          Burglary; Occurred Fri., 4/18/14 between 3:53 a.m. and 5:05 a.m.  Reported Fri., 4/18/14 at 12:05 p.m.  A student reported that property est. at $715 was removed from an unsecured residence in the 1900 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  MPD contacted.

#14-0523          Sexual Assault; Occurred Wed., 4/16/14 between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.  Reported Fri., 4/18/14 at 5:08 p.m.  An alumna reported that an acquaintance had been sexually assaulted at an off campus location.  The acquaintance was not identified.   MPD contacted.

#13-0525          OWI/Intoxicated Driver; Occurred and reported Sat., 4/19/14 at 2:50 a.m.  DPS observed a vehicle driven by a person not affiliated with Marquette drive up a curb and come to rest when the vehicle’s front fender came into contact with a pole in the 500 block of N. 16th Street.  The driver was not injured.  DPS verbally detained the driver.  MPD was contacted and took the driver into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

#14-0526          Theft Of Motor Vehicle; Occurred between Thu., 4/17/14 at 7:00 p.m. and Fri., 4/18/14 at 12:00 p.m.  Reported Sat., 4/19/14 at 12:45 p.m.  An alumna reported that unknown person(s) removed her secured, unattended vehicle in the 2200 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  Est. loss is $1,900.  MPD contacted.

#14-0518          Prowling Violation; Occurred and reported Wed., 4/16/14 at 11:05 p.m.  DPS observed three juveniles prowling near the Haggerty Art Museum.  The juveniles fled when DPS came on the scene.  DPS located and verbally detained two of the juveniles and they were taken into custody by MPD.

#14-0514          Harassment; Occurred between Wed., 3/12/14 at 12:51 p.m. and Tue., 4/15/14 at 10:25 a.m.  Reported Tue., 4/15/14 at 1:41 p.m.  A student reported receiving harassing text messages from unknown person(s).  The student will be contacting the West Bend Police Department.

#14-0515          Theft; Occurred between Sat., 2/15/14 at 12:00 p.m. and Tue., 4/15/14 at 9:30 a.m.  Reported Tue., 4/15/14 at 3:44 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured, unattended property est. at $120 in Cobeen Hall.

#14-0506          Harassment; Occurred between Thu., 4/5/14 at 9:00 p.m. and Mon., 4/14/14 at 12:15 p.m.  Reported Mon., 4/14/14 at 11:48 a.m.  A student reported being harassed by an acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette.  The Buffalo Grove Police Department was contacted.

#14-0507               Burglary; Occurred Thu., 4/10/14 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.  Reported Mon., 4/14/14 at 2:03 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured, unattended property est. at $50 from McCormick Hall.

#14-0509          Harassment; Occurred between Wed., 4/9/14 at 10:00 p.m. and Mon., 4/14/14 at 5:00 p.m.  Reported Mon., 4/14/14 at 3:00 p.m.  A student reported being harassed by another student.

#14-0511          Disorderly Conduct; Occurred and reported Mon., 4/14/14 at 8:38 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette acted in a disorderly manner in a business in the 1600 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and was taken into custody by MPD.
