The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

#14-1296         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred Fri., 9/26/14 between 4:35 p.m. and 4:51 p.m.  Reported Fri., 9/26/14 at 4:51 p.m.  An employee reported that an acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette acted in a disorderly manner toward the employee and a student-employee in Johnston Hall.

#14-1297         Vandalism; and reported Fri., 9/26/14 at 10:12 p.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized university property in McCormick Hall causing an est. $50 in damage.

#14-1302         Vandalism; Occurred between Fri., 9/26/14 at 10:00 p.m. and Sat., 9/27/14 at 2:00 a.m.  Reported Sat., 9/27/14 at 2:00 a.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized university property in Schroeder Hall causing an est. $100 in damage.  Facilities Services contacted.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1294         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred Thu., 9/25/14 between 6:13 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.  Reported Thu., 9/25/14 at 6:13 p.m.  A student hosted a party that generated several complaints in the 800 block of N. 17th Street. The student acted in a disorderly manner toward DPS when DPS arrived on the scene.

#14-1300         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Fri., 9/26/14 at 11:50 p.m.  An underage student admitted consuming alcohol at an unknown off campus location.

#14-1301         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Fri., 9/26/14 at 11:16 p.m.  Two underage students consumed alcohol and were uncooperative with DPS in the 900 block of N. Renee Street.  The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office cited the students.

#14-1304         Theft; Occurred Thu., 9/25/14 between 7:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.  Reported Fri., 9/26/14 at 2:10 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that his secured, unattended bicycle est. at $925 was removed in the 1800 block of W. Wells.  MPD contacted.

#14-1306         Vandalism; Occurred between Fri., 9/26/14 at 10:00 p.m. and Sat., 9/27/14 at 7:08 a.m.  An alumnus reported that unknown person(s) caused an est. $200 in damage to a glass door in a building in the 800 block of N. 15th Street.

#14-1308         Theft From Person:  Attempted; Occurred Sat., 9/27/14 at 9:00 p.m.  Reported Sat., 9/27/14 at 9:24 p.m.  An employee reported that an unidentified subject grabbed the employee’s purse in an attempt to remove it as the employee was walking in the 800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  The subject was not able to remove the property and fled the scene.  MPD contacted.

#14-1311         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Sat., 9/30/14 at 12:30 a.m.  Two underage students consumed alcohol in the 1700 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue and were cited by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

#14-1314         Disorderly Conduct, Resisting/Obstructing An Officer & Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred Sun., 9/28/14 at 12:49 a.m.  Reported Sun. 9/28/14 at 12:55 a.m.  An underage student consumed alcohol and acted in a disorderly manner in the 1700 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  The student was physically detained by a Milwaukee County Sheriff and DPS and taken into custody by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

#14-1316         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred and reported Sun., 9/28/14 at 1:20 a.m.  A student and an acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette were involved in a physical alteration in the 800 block of N. 16th Street.  The student was uncooperative with DPS.  MPD took the person not affiliated with Marquette into custody for an active warrant and other charges.

#14-1318         Drug Offenses; Occurred and reported Sun., 9/28/14 at 1:36 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette was found in possession of a controlled substance after being involved in a physical altercation with a student (#14-1316) and was taken into custody by MPD.

#14-1319         Theft From Motor Vehicle; Occurred Sun., 9/28/14 between 12:01 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.  Reported Sun., 9/28/14 at 9:34 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of his secured, unattended vehicle in a parking lot in the 2000 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and removed property est. at $580.  Est. damage to the vehicle is $150.  MPD contacted.

#14-1320         Theft; Occurred and reported Sun., 9/28/14 at 11:31 a.m.  A student reported that she dropped her bus pass on the ground in 1200 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and a person not affiliated with Marquette picked up the pass and refused to give it back.  DPS arrived on the scene and recovered the pass from the subject and gave it to the student.

#14-1321         Battery; Occurred between Sun., 9/7/14 at 6:00 p.m. and Sun., 9/28/14 at 4:40 p.m.  Reported Sun., 9/2/14 at 4:40 p.m.  Two students reported being involved in a physical altercation with each other in a residence in the 600 block of N. 18th Street.  MPD contacted.

#14-1323         Burglary; Occurred between Fri., 9/26/14 at 3:00 p.m. and Sun., 9/28/14 at 8:00 p.m.  Reported Sun., 9/28/14 at 8:30 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his property est. at $1,000 from his unattended residence in the 900 block of N. 18th Street.  MPD contacted.

#14-1279         Vandalism; Occurred between Tue., 9/23/14 at 7:57 p.m. and Wed., 9/24/14 at 9:00 a.m.  Reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 9:08 a.m.  Unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on various campus buildings and city sidewalks.  Facilities Services contacted.

#14-1280         Criminal Trespass; Occurred and reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 12:37 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette trespassed in Schroeder Complex and was cited by MPD.

#14-1287         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred Wed., 9/24/14 at 9:17 p.m.  Reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 9:24 p.m.  An employee reported that an unidentified subject acted in a disorderly manner by a Structure One exit.

#14-1288         Misrepresentation Of Age:  Falsified Identification Card; Occurred and reported Thu., 9/25/14 at 11:01 p.m.  An underage student was in possession of a false ID in Structure One.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1282         Criminal Trespass; Occurred and reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 1:03 p.m.  A student reported that a person not affiliated with Marquette trespassed in the student’s unsecured, residence in the 1300 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue and left the scene.  MPD took the subject into custody.

#14-1283         Vandalism To Motor Vehicle; Occurred Wed., 9/24/14 between 8:50 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 1:06 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of her secured, unattended vehicle in the 1000 block of N. 16th Street.  Nothing was taken.  Est. damage to the vehicle is $200.

#14-1289         Drug Offenses; Occurred and reported Wed., 9/24/14 at 10:40 p.m.  DPS observed a person not affiliated with Marquette slumped over in the driver’s seat in a parked vehicle in the 2100 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  MPD was contacted.  Upon investigation, the subject admitted to using a controlled substance and was in possession of drug paraphernalia.  MPD took the subject into custody.

#14-1271         Theft; Occurred Fri., 9/19/14 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Reported Mon., 9/22/14 at 9:26 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed her unsecured, unattended property est. at $10 in Laumiere Hall.

#14-1272         Drug Offenses & Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Mon., 9/22/14 at 11:51 p.m.  An underage student was in possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and alcohol in McCormick Hall and was taken into custody by MPD.  The student was cited and released.

#14-1273         Misrepresentation Of Age:  Falsified Identification Card; Occurred and reported Tue., 9/23/14 at 2:53 a.m.  An underage student was in possession of a false ID in Structure One.

OFF CAMPUS

#14-1268         Disorderly Conduct; Occurred and reported Mon., 9/22/14 at 7:20 a.m.  A student reported that a person not affiliated with Marquette was acting in a disorderly manner in the 1400 block of W. Wells.  DPS physically detained the subject and he was taken into custody by MPD.
