The Department of Public Safety maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.

The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances. The below listed incidents have been forwarded to the Milwaukee Police Department.

#15-0476         Vandalism; Occurred Fri., 4/24/15 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:33 p.m.  Reported Fri. 4/24/15 at 7:33 p.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized university property in Campus Town East causing an est. $450 in damage.  Facilities Services contacted.

#15-0480         Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Sat., 4/25/15 at 12:40 a.m.  An underage student and her underage guest were in possession of alcohol in Straz Tower.

#15-0481         Possession/Consumption of Alcohol:  Underage; Occurred and reported Sat., 4/25/15 at 2:36 a.m.  Reported Sat., 4/25/15 at 2:36 a.m.  An underage student outside the rear of the 1700 Building admitted consuming alcohol at an unknown location.

#15-0485         Theft; Occurred and reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 12:28 a.m.  Unknown person(s) removed a fire extinguisher est. at $75 in Abbottsford Hall.  Facilities Services contacted.

#15-0486         Fire Alarm:  Criminal Act; Occurred and reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 1:09 a.m.  A fire alarm sounded for Campus Town East and MFD responded.  Upon investigation, it was determined that unknown person(s) activated a pull station without cause.

#15-0487         Vandalism; Occurred and reported Sun, 4/26/15 at 12:43 a.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized university property in Campus Town West causing an est. $20 in damage.  Facilities Services contacted.

#15-0490         Vandalism; Occurred Sun., 4/26/15 at 12:29 a.m.  Reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 4:16 a.m.  Unknown person(s) vandalized university property in Campus Town East causing an est. $30 in damage.

#15-0493         Theft; Occurred between Fri., 4/24/15 at 10:30 p.m. and Sat., 4/25/15 at 5:00 a.m.  Reported Sun., 4/16/15 at 5:17 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his unsecured, unattended wallet in McCormick Hall.  His wallet was later recovered but his debit card was missing from it.  No unauthorized charges were on the card.

OFF CAMPUS

#15-0478         Battery; Occurred and reported Fri., 4/24/15 at 9:31 p.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette reported being battered by an acquaintance not affiliated with Marquette in the 2300 block of W. Wells.  MPD contacted.

#15-0482         Theft; Occurred and reported Sat., 4/25/15 at 3:54 a.m.  A student reported his property was removed in his residence in the 800 block of N. 18th Street by another student’s guest.  MPD was contacted.  The property was later recovered and returned to the student.

#15-0494         Robbery:  Attempted;Occurred and reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 7:03 p.m.  A juvenile not affiliated with Marquette approached a student walking in the 800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue and attempted to forcibly remove property from the student causing minor injury to the student.  The subject was not able to remove the property and fled the scene.  MPD located the subject and took him into custody.

#15-0495         Theft From Motor Vehicle; Occurred Sat., 4/25/15 between 4:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  Reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 9:14 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of his secured, unattended vehicle in the 800 block of N. 9th Street and removed property est. at $870.  Est. damage to the vehicle is unknown at this time.

#15-0496         Other Criminal Offenses; Occurred Sun., 4/26/15 at 9:06 p.m.  Reported Sun., 4/26/15 at 9:10 p.m.  A student reported being a robbery victim in the 1600 block of W. State and MPD was contacted.  Upon investigation, the student admitted that a robbery did not happen.

#15-0471         Panhandling; Occurred Wed., 4/22/15 at 5:10 p.m.  Reported Thu., 4/23/15 at 10:18 a.m.  An employee reported that an unknown subject was aggressively panhandling in the 1200 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  MPD will be contacted.       

#15-0472         Sexual Assault; Occurred Thu., 4/23/15 at 9:23 a.m.  Reported Thu., 4/23/15 at 9:33 a.m.  A person not affiliated with Marquette inappropriately touched a student who was walking in the 1000 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.  DPS located the subject and he was taken into custody by MPD.

#15-0474         Theft From Motor Vehicle; Occurred between Wed., 4/22/15 at 1:00 p.m. and Thu., 4/23/15 at 11:51 p.m.  Reported Thu., 4/23/15 at 11:51 p.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of her secured, unattended vehicle in a rear lot in the 500 block of N. 20th Street and removed property est. at $47.  Est. damage to the vehicle is $150.  MPD will be contacted.

#15-0460         Drug Offenses, Possession/Consumption Of Alcohol:  Underage & Misrepresentation Of Age:  Falsified Identification Card; Occurred and reported Mon., 4/20/15 at 3:26 p.m.  A student was in possession of drug paraphernalia and false IDs and an underage student was in possession of alcohol in Masuda Hall.  MPD took one of the students into custody.

OFF CAMPUS

#15-0456         Theft; Occurred between Fri., 4/17/15 at 3:00 p.m. and Sun., 4/19/15 at 10:00 p.m.  Reported Mon., 4/20/15 at 9:18 a.m.  A student reported that unknown person(s) removed his secured, unattended bicycle in the 1300 block of W. Kilbourn Avenue.  Est. loss is $340.

#15-0461         Theft From Motor Vehicle; Mon., 4/20/15 between 6:15 p.m. and 6:32 p.m.  Reported Mon., 4/20/15 at 6:32 p.m.  An alumnus reported that unknown person(s) smashed a window of his secured, unattended vehicle in the 500 block of N. 17th Street and removed property est. at $140.  Est. damage to the vehicle unknown at this time.
