Reporting a crime to Public Safety or the local police department can be as easy as picking up the phone and dialing 288-6800 or 911. However, if the person committing the crime is an acquaintance, colleague or classmate, reporting him or her to Public Safety can make you feel uncomfortable and frightened. This fear may become compounded if there is a chance your name could be revealed over the course of an impending investigation. By using the Public Safety TipLine or TipForm, you can leave a voicemail or e-mail for Public Safety with information about a crime that has occurred or could occur without identifying yourself.
