Understanding Holds in Registration You are responsible for taking the steps necessary to ensure that all holds on your registration have been cleared before attempting to enroll in classes via CheckMarq. Checking for Holds Access the Student Center via CheckMarq On the main page of the Student Center is a Holds section. Click the Details link to view a list of your holds.  Click any hold on the list for additional details. There are four types of holds that may prevent access to registration: Registrar Academic (including the hold that a college may place for required advising) Financial Student affairs CheckMarq will alert students when there is still an active hold and will not permit students with holds to register for courses. If you have: A registrar hold, you will find the requirements for its removal explained on CheckMarq.  If you are unable to take the required actions, contact the Office of the Registrar. An academic hold, contact your college/school office. A financial hold, contact the Office of the Bursar or Student Loan Accounts. A student affairs hold, contact the Division of Student Affairs. A student health service hold, contact Student Health Service.
