Course Learning Objectives that are related to Service Learning:
- To develop an awareness of the impact of physical and cognitive disabilities on the performance of various activities of daily living.
- To develop an awareness of current rehabilitation and assistive technology for such individuals.
- To understand the limitations (in terms of both functionality and accessibility) of current rehabilitation and assistive technology.
- To understand the challenges of rehabilitation engineering design of products for individuals with diverse needs.
