Transportation: Take the #23 bus east on Wisconsin Ave. Get off at National Ave. and 6th St. Walk east one block to 5th St. Turn right and walk south to the end of the block. Walker’s Point Center for the Arts will be on your right.

Orientation: Orientations will take place individually on the first day of service.

Days/Hours of Operation:Tuesday-Friday, 2:30-5pm (half hour prep before 2 hour program)

Description of Agency/Activities: Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) supports education and the visual and performing arts by providing a haven for youth of the community and serving as a venue to showcase Milwaukee’s artistic talent. WPCA provides a welcoming, safe, and diverse cultural environment for children, artists, and the public to maintain an active community. The center fosters creativity in children through innovative educational programming.

Student Role in Agency: Service Learners will help with the after school program, which takes place from 3-5pm. Specific roles will include:

Commitment/Requirements: Students are expected to arrive at 2:30 for a half-hour prep time before helping with after school activities.
