Description of Agency/Activities: Meta House offers residential and intensive outpatient treatment to woman for substance abuse and mental health needs. They are dedicated to providing an environment through which women and children transform their lives. Meta House provides services that are emotionally and physically safe, comprehensive, financially accessible, culturally competent and clinically effective. Service are designed to meet the unique needs of each woman and child and to strengthen family relationships. Mothers and children under the age of 10 are welcome into the residential programs. Meta House also provides transitional housing to women who need it. Meta House offers group, individual, and family counseling and all treatment is gender-responsive. They also have a full range of training and educational programs that address: basic living skills, educational/job skills, HIV/AIDS education, anger management, child developmental and parenting skills, and relapse prevention.
