Description of Agency/Activities: Story School is a K4-8 MPS school that emphasizes the importance of integrating fine arts and technology as well as the core academic subjects. The school is part of the SAGE program for grades K-3 and implements the High Scope program for K5- grade 1 classrooms, ensuring a low student-teacher ratio and lots of family involvement. In addition to daily classroom lessons, after-school activities are offered in order for students to expand their horizons and hone their natural abilities. From basketball to computer classes and UWM’s Talent Search to cheerleading, Story students may enroll in a variety of activities.

Student Role in Agency: Service Learners will assist classroom instructors with homework help, preparing materials, and recreation monitoring.

Commitment: 2 hours per week for the duration of the semester.
